The `Royal Rajasthan on Wheels` is a joint venture of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., supported by the Development of Tourism (Government of India).
There are 39 deluxe saloons and 2 super-deluxe saloons on the train and they are allocated to Single and Double occupancies. The number of passengers really depends on the occupancies sold in that departure, The train can accommodate 80 passager on any fully-booked tour.
The suites have been named after the two precious stones, Emerald and Diamond.
The saloons have been designed with channel music system and there is a special safe in all the saloons to store your valuables. The saloons have been created in three different themes in hues of exquisite jewels, Ruby, Sapphire and Pearl.
DINING AND BAR— Sheesh Mahal has been adorned with splendid floor lamps and crystal pelmets; the entire restro-bar is made of wood and crystal. The Swarn Mahal, has been planned around a theme of gold and brass.
The fully equipped bar on the train serves selected brands on Aperitif, Malt, Whisky, Scotch, Rum, Vodka, Cognac, Wines and Champagne. These premium delights have been put to serve your palette better.

Day 1 : New Delhi
Guests will report at the Safdarjung Railway Station at 4:00PM where all the check-in formalities will be done. A warm welcome will be given to them in a proper traditional style and welcome drinks will be served. The journey begins from New Delhi and prepares you to weave the fabric of delightful imagination becoming reality over the next seven days. Train departs by 5:30 pm. Dinner will be on board.
Day 2 : Jodhpur
Train Arrives : 8 a.m.
Departs By : 4.30 p.m.
Breakfast will be served on board and meanwhile they have reached Jodhpur. It is a former capital of the mighty Mewar Kingdom houses many palaces, forts & temples. Reaching their guests will proceed towards the biggest Hill Forts which is known as the Mehrangarh Fort. Lunch will be served to them in one of good restaurants and proceed towards local market of the area. They will also be taken to the Umaid Bhawan Palace which is now converted into a luxury Spa Hotel & part still serves as the principal residence of the erstwhile Jodhpur royal family. Return back to the train relax yourself. Dinner will be served on board and overnight stay.
Day 3 : Udaipur & Chittorgarh
Train Arrives : by 7 a.m
Train Departs : by 230 p.m.
As the journey continues to its 3rd day, guests have now reached Udaipur. The city of Lakes. Breakfast will be served on board and proceed to visit The City Palace which is one of the largest Palace Complex in India. Guests will also be visiting the unique Crystal Gallery, personal collection of H.H. Maharana of Udaipur will definitely cast a spell on you. Later they will be taken for a boat ride in Lake Pichola, around Lake Palace Hotel, situated on an island. Return to the train & depart for the next destination.
Train reaches by 4:45PM at Chittorgarh Railway Station. On reaching Chittorgarh Railway Station breakfast will be served on board and will proceed towards the forts of the Chittorgarh. Here they will enjoy the sound and light show on pride, romance and spirit for people of Chittor, who always choose death before surrending against anyone. Return back to train to relax. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 : Ranthambhore - Jaipur
Train Arrives : 05,30 a.m. at Sawai Madhopur Railway station
On the 5th day of the journey guests have now arrived Sawai Madhopur Railway Station, breakfast will be served on board. Guests will leave for Ranthambore National Park which is one of the best managed reserve forest under Project Tiger. Besides chances of sighting a tiger, other major wild animals in the dry deciduous forest include leopards, Sloth bears, Pythons, Marsh crocodiles, wild boar, hyena & variety of deer & bird species. Return to the railway station, board the train for further destination. .

Train Arrives : 11.30 a.m at Jaipur railway station
Train reaches the Pink City Jaipur, breakfast will be served on board and proceed for excursion to Amber Fort Palace. Here guests will enjoy elephant joy ride up its steep ramparts. After lunch in boutique restaurant located in Fort Premises, enjoy walk through the multi layered corridors of Palace Complex to appreciate the aesthetic ambiance of this complex built with red sandstone & marble.
Later drive back to the City Palace complex & discover the old world charm of Mubarak Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Diwan-I-Khas, Diwan-I-Aam, and museum in the Maharani Palace & nearby located UNESCO World Heritage site of Jantar Mantar (observatory with an operational Sun dial). Return to train late evening & depart. Dinner and overnight stay on board. Train Departs : 10.15 p.m.
Day 5 : Khajuraho
Train Arrives : 09.30 a.m.
Train arrives Khajuraho, one of the dusty plains of Central India, UNESCO World Site of Khajuraho has the largest group of medieval Hindu & Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculptures. Morning excursion to more famous, western Group of Hindu Temple complex. After lunch in 5 Star Hotel, visit Southern group of Jain temples. Later Return to the train & depart. Dinner on board and overnight stay.

Day 6 : Varanasi
Train Arrives : 6 a.m.
Guests have now arrived at Varanasi. It is situated on the banks of Holy River Ganga & considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world with history dating back to 8th Century B.C. for Hindus. Early morning excursion to Holy Ganges River for boat ride to view the centuries old bathing rights of the Hindus. Return back to train for breakfast & brief rest. Later proceed for excursion to UNESCO World Heritage site of Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon in 5th century B.C. Later in the afternoon drive back to Ghats of River Ganges for a photo opportunity to capture the evening lamp immersion ceremony preceded by sound of Coonch shells & holy chants. Drive back to the train for dinner & depart. Overnight on board.

Day 7 : Agra
Train Arrives : 10 a.m.
Train arrives in City of Taj. Located on the River Yamuna, town of Agra. On arrival in Agra, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Agra Fort, originally built in Red Sand Stone by Mughal Emperor Akbar in mid-16th century, but soon converted into a Palace by his Grandson, Shah Jehan with extensive relaying of marble stone with inlay work Places of interest include, Moti Masjid, the Hall of Public & Hall of Private. After lunch, proceed to visit perhaps one of the most beautiful buildings in world - The Taj Mahal, one of seven wonders of modern world & also an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to train and relax. Dinner will be served on board and overnight stay. Train departs for Delhi.

Day 8 :New Delhi Return

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels operates weekly tours to the princely state of Rajasthan from September to April every year.
