DAY 01 ARRIVE KATHMANDU
Arrive Kathmandu - met & transferred to hotel On arrival at the hotel, special welcome by Pancha Kanyas dressed in traditional Nepalese costumes representing various regions of Nepal. The Pancha Kanya shower flower petals as you arrive and offers tika and garland.
After a short rest, proceed onto the Swayambhunath in time to see beautiful sunset from the Stupa which is perched on a sacred hilltop with the painted all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha gazing across the valley in 4 cardinal directions. Sunset views from here are simply spectacular with Buddhist Pilgrims lighting butter lamps amidst prayer chanting amidst a backdrop of mountain peaks. This 2000 years old holy pilgrim offers bird’s eye view of the entire Kathmandu.

DAY 02 KATHMANDU
Morning, city tour of Kathmandu – locked in by the towering snow clad mountains of the Himalayan range, Kathmandu is the capital of the Hindu Kingdom of Nepal. Walk through the narrow cobbled lanes of old Kathmandu city visiting its many ancient temples among which the temple of Kumari or the ‘Living Goddess’ is the most unusual. Visit Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient Royal Palace and Kasthamandap or “the house of wood”. Lunch at Nanglo restaurant at King’s way.
Afternoon visit Pashupatinath temple situated on the banks of Bagmati River which is the most holy temple of the entire Hindu world. Though the entrance to the main gate is permitted to Hindus only, one can have full glimpse of activities inside the temple from the eastern bank of Bagmati River. A sight of cremation being performed on the banks of the river is very common.
Proceed to Bodhnath, the biggest Stupa in Nepal and visit Monasteries around it. This colossal Stupa is set on concentric ascending terraces in the powerful pattern of a Mandala. Around the base of this striking enormous and simple Stupa is a large ring of 108 images of the Buddha and 147 insets containing prayer wheels. Special 6 course Nepali dinner at Krishnarpan Restaurant Krishnarpan restaurant is located on a historic and beautiful setting of Dwarka’s hotel. The restaurant offers an opportunity to capture a moment of rich and ancient culture, to dine at tables designed with century old lattice woodwork and served on years old traditional crockery by charming hosts & hostesses in different ethnic wears.

DAY 03 KATHMANDU – POKHARA
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Pokhara
On arrival – the guests will be met & transferred to the hotel
Pokhara – an ancient kingdom and site of the sacred Crystal Mountain, it is a land of deep river gorges and jagged, barren peaks and the home of Buddhists who ride ponies and herd yak and sheep. Lunch at the hotel Afternoon, sightseeing tour of Pokhara city by bicycle. Visit Devi’s falls, Phewa Lake, Mahendra caves, the Tibetan settlement and Ram bazaar. Dinner with Gurung dance performance that is typical of the region.

DAY 04 POKHARA – CHITWAN
After breakfast drive to Chitwan (220 kms / 5 hrs)
Arrive at the lodge after switching from the coaster to canoes to cross the Narayani River and finally on to Land Rovers/ Jeeps for the journey through the jungle upto the lodge. Special welcome at the lodge with elephants lined up to greet the guests with jungle flowers. A special welcome drink “Crocodile Tears” will be served. Lunch at the lodge.
Afternoon Elephant safari into the jungle. Bordering the Rapti River, the Royal Chitwan National Park was once the private playground & hunting preserve of Nepal’s Rana Prime Ministers. In 1973, Chitwan was declared a national park. Today, it is closely guarded by armed forces who keep out the poachers. Today, 100 tigers & over 400 Rhinoceroses were spotted in the park. In the evening, cocktail and barbeque dinner with Tharu Cultural Dances.

Day 05 CHITWAN
After breakfast, canoe down on the river to the Gharial (the massive fish eating mammal of the Magar family) conservative project. The sanctuary is also home to leopards and other jungle cats,elephants,buffalo,sloth bear,gaur(wild oxen),wild boar,langur & rhesus monkeys, freshwater dolphins, freshwater crocodiles, pythons and king cobras, plus over 350 species of birds, including giant hornbills, peacocks & eagles. Chitwan has been called the best sanctuary in Asia, and its excellent accommodations, beautiful vistas & the splendid wildlife justify the claim. Return to the lodge with a bracing walk of an hour through the jungle for lunch.

Day 06 CHITWAN/KATHMANDU
Early morning, elephant safari into the park at dusk followed by a boatride. Return to Lodge for breakfast and check out.
Thereafter transfer to Bharatpur airport(1 hour 20 minutes)
Arrive Kathmandu - meet & transfer to hotel for refreshment. Afternoon, commence on the sightseeing tour of Patan - the cradle of arts and architecture of the valley with 136 bahals or courtyards and 55 major temples.Well known among these temples are the Krishna Mandir,Hiranya Varna Mahavir, Kumbheshwar temple, Mahaboudha and Jagatnarayan temple.the Patan Durbar square has been acclaimed as one of the finest urban street scapes in the world.
Visit of Patan Museum followed by lunch inside its garden café The Patan Museum displays the traditional sacred art of Nepal in an illustrious architectural setting. Its home is an old residential court of patan durbar,one of the royal palaces of the former Malla kings of the Kathmandu valley.The museum’s exhibits cover a long span of Nepal’s cultural history and some rare objects are among its treasures. Their meaning and context within the living traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism are explained.Most of the objects are cast bronzes and gilt copper repousse work,traditional crafts for which patan is famous.
Drive back to hotel for overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 KATHMANDU – ABROAD
After breakfast drive to the airport for flight back home.
